Library Bookstand Design
In a team of 6, we designed an innovative sliding bookstand system for a library, replacing inefficient matboard mounts. The top 3 designs were 3D modeled by me, with the winning sliding design being 3D printed and implemented. 12 units were manufactured and are now used in the library's latest exhibit, serving as teaching examples for engineering courses.

555 Timer Circuit
2019Design and implementation of various 555 timer-based circuits including oscillators, timers, and pulse generators. Explored astable, monostable, and bistable configurations with practical applications.
Impact: Developed fundamental understanding of timer IC applications and analog circuit design principles
Speaker Circuit - Operation Board Game
2019In this project, I was required to design a speaker circuit and implement it into a creative design. After designing the circuit, I used it to create a custom version of the 'Operation' board game. The circuit was developed using copper clad board, Ilfosol 3 film developer, Ferric Chloride hexahydrate, and a UV exposure machine.
Impact: Successfully integrated audio electronics into an interactive board game, combining circuit design with creative product development
Adjustable Power Supply Board
2024For a design course, the goal was to design an op-amp based circuit board to create an adjustable power supply board. This project includes the design, manufacturing, and calibration of the power supply. The power supply can be adjusted to provide different output voltages and current capabilities as required. The project involved creating the schematic, designing the PCB layout, and testing the final product to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
Impact: Successfully designed, manufactured, and calibrated a fully functional adjustable power supply with op-amp based voltage regulation and current limiting capabilities
Library Bookstand Design
2022In a team of 6, we were given the problem of designing a better book stand for a library. The current system involved creating a custom book mount out of matboard for every single book, each time. 12 of these bookstands were then created for the client, and are now being used in their latest book exhibit.
Impact: Successfully designed and implemented 12 bookstands for library use, now serving as teaching examples for APS111 and APS112 engineering courses
Drop Tower
2019Design and prototyping of an amusement-park style drop tower ride. Work included mechanical lifting and controlled descent mechanisms, motor control using L293D drivers, prototype testing, and safety feature design and validation.
Impact: Gained hands-on experience in mechanical design, motor control for lifting/drop systems.
Right Angle Gearbox
2023As part of a team of 4, we designed and modeled an offset right angle gearbox with a ratio of 1:4. This design was created to be fully 3D printable, ensuring ease of production and assembly. The gearbox was optimized for compactness and efficiency, making it ideal for various applications requiring space-saving solutions.
Impact: Successfully designed a compact, efficient 1:4 ratio right angle gearbox optimized for 3D printing and easy assembly
Inventory Manager
2021Full-stack inventory management system with database integration, user interface, and reporting features. Implemented CRUD operations, search functionality, and data visualization.
Impact: Developed comprehensive inventory tracking system with user-friendly interface
Wage Gap Analysis Platform
2021In this project, I was required to design a solution to an ethical issue in the world. We decided to tackle the problem of the wage gap by designing a prototype database where people can compare their wages with others in the field. The website above was created in collaboration with Micheal Zhao and David Park for our Computer Science culminating

CNC Pick and Place
2023Automated pick-and-place system using CNC technology for precise component handling. Integrated stepper motors, sensors, and control algorithms for reliable operation.
Impact: Built automated manufacturing system with high precision and reliability
UTEK Garbage Cleanup Robot
2021The Garbage Cleanup Robot is designed to address waste management challenges with innovative automation. This project showcases a custom-built robot capable of collecting, and disposing of litter in various environments. This robot was designed to complete tasks like moving small objects on the ground to specified areas. Fusion360 was used to model and render the robot.
Impact: Developed waste collection robot for UTEK competition
Police Car System
2019Design and construction of a foam & wood-scale vehicle outfitted with functional steering, flashing police lights, and realistic siren audio. Electronics used include 555 timer circuits for lighting/siren patterns and L293D motor drivers for motorized steering and drive.
Impact: Demonstrated integration of mechanical fabrication and embedded electronics: motor control, LED lighting patterns, and audio generation, plus remote control operation for a cohesive prototype.
Cardboard Rocket with Egg Protection
2017A lightweight cardboard rocket launched using compressed-air (pop bottle) propulsion, with an internal suspension system to protect an egg payload. Focus areas included aerodynamic shaping, lightweight construction, and an elastic-band based suspension to absorb launch/landing shocks.
Impact: Validated safety-focused design and material selection: the suspension system preserved the egg during launch and landing while demonstrating principles of aerodynamics and compressed-air propulsion.
